Boasting the claim, "Kent County's Best Kept Secret" is Woodside, Delaware.  Founded in 1864 with the coveted railroad, this town is rich in history.

Multiple train tracks of yesteryear have converted to a single track today.  Previously known as Willow Grove Station, the name was soon after changed to Fredonia by the Cowgill family.  Henry Cowgill was instrumental in the establishment of a train depot and station house at Woodside.

By an act of the State of Delaware General Assembly, the town of Woodside was incorporated on April 4, 1911.
