Are you looking for a small, hometown feel?  Try Kenton, Delaware.  This town had a population of only 261 at the time of the US Census in 2010!  When the Delaware and Maryland Railroad line was put through from Clayton to Maryland in the last half of the 19th century, this town began to grow.

While small, this town does have its own post office and zip code, Kenton Chair Shop and a Country Store.  How's that for a hometown feel?  Situated at the intersection of Routes 42 and 300, the Village of Kenton has roots all the way back to 1791.  Originally known as Grogtown, then Lewis Crossroads, and finally in 1806 the name of Kenton was established.

The National Register of Historic Places listed the Kenton Historic District on the list in 1983.
