Another small town in Kent County, Delaware is the town of Houston. Situated between Harrington & Route 13 to the west and Milford to the east, the town boundaries skirt the edge of the Sussex County line.
Serving the public since 1926 is the Houston Fire Company, a very important part of any town!
The town was named after John W. Houston, who according to Wikipedia was:
"John W. Houston. John Wallace Houston (May 4, 1814 – April 26, 1896) was an American lawyer and politician from Georgetown, in Sussex County, Delaware. He was a member of the Whig Party and the Democratic Party, who served as U.S. Representative from Delaware and a Justice of Delaware Superior Court." ~ Wikipedia website
